From Basilio & Nieves to the next generation

This house belonged to Basilio and Nieves, Javier's parents. For years it was the family home — a place where everyone gathered and there was always a table set for whoever came through the door.

Today, Ana and Javier have restored the house with all the love it deserves, turning it into a holiday home that preserves its timeless character. With the help of their children, Teresa and Javier, they keep alive the spirit of hospitality that Basilio and Nieves passed on to them.

When you walk through the door, you won't feel like a guest — you'll feel like one of the family.

The house sleeps up to 14 guests in 6 double bedrooms. It's ideal for extended families, groups of friends, celebrations and retreats.
Yes. All 6 bedrooms have a private en-suite bathroom inside the room itself. There are no shared bathrooms. This is unusual for holiday homes of this capacity and makes group stays much more comfortable.
Haro, the wine capital of Rioja, is just 20 minutes by car. The famous Barrio de la Estación is home to century-old wineries like Muga, CVNE, López Heredia and La Rioja Alta.
Santo Domingo de la Calzada, a key stage of the French Way, is 15 minutes away. The house is a perfect base to walk the La Rioja stages of the Camino with the comfort of returning to a real home each night.
Yes, the house has central heating in every room and a fireplace in the txoko. Perfect in winter too, with the Valdezcaray ski resort just 30 minutes away.
A txoko is a traditional Basque social dining space. Ours features exposed brick walls, a fireplace and a large table for everyone. It's the heart of the house — perfect for cooking together and enjoying long meals.
Yes, there is space for several cars right at the house.
