About wine tourism from our country house

Haro is just 20 minutes by car from our country house. The Barrio de la Estación, where the world's most famous century-old wineries are concentrated, is in the centre of Haro.
Some wineries accept walk-in visits, but we always recommend booking in advance, especially during high season (harvest, bank holidays and festive periods). Most wineries offer guided tours with tasting included from 15€/person.
Wine tourism in La Rioja is enjoyable all year round, but there are two special moments: September-October (harvest), when the vineyards are in full swing and many wineries offer grape-picking experiences; and spring, when the green landscape and mild temperatures make routes through the vineyards especially pleasant.
Yes, the Rioja Alta Wine Route organises complete wine tourism experiences including winery visits, tastings, pairings and tours through the vineyards. There are also local companies offering guided minibus tours with pick-up from accommodations.
